March 7, 2007 Another One of Those Large Rocks that Fascinates Me. Especially When the Large Rock is Just All by Itself for No Apparent Reason

Is this the result of a glacier? I think rocks such as these are found at the lateral or terminal moraines. Huge rocks are "plucked" of the glacial head-wall as a result of exteme pressures and temperatures, carried hundreds of miles down the valley by the glacier and deposited on either side or at the end of it. That's one theory. Or maybe a river? Or maybe an alien rock enthusiast? Probably the latter.
